The fine Zester citrus peel grater from the Premium Classic series of the American brand Microplane ® is specially designed for grating the outer part of the peel of citrus fruits. The English term 'zest' refers to the topmost coloured layer of the citrus peel, which contains fragrant essential oils. The peel of lemons, oranges, limes and other citrus fruits is widely used in the kitchen to flavour a variety of dishes, from sweet desserts to dressings and sauces to pasta and roasted meats, but also to decorate them, both fresh and candied. Also ideal for grating hard cheese, garlic, ginger, nutmeg or cinnamon.
