Vinegar: Put two parts water and one part white vinegar in your kettle. Afterwards, bring to a boil after an hour of cooling. To get rid of the vinegary smell, discard the water and clean your kettle as usual.

Lemon juice – Pour juice from two large lemons into the clean water in your kettle. Bring the mixture to a boil, then let the lemon's acidity dissolve the limescale. Give this combination a few hours to rest for optimum results. Then, just wash your kettle with some warm, soapy water.
