DESCRIPTION
The WOK pan from the French manufacturer De Buyer has a diameter of 32 cm and a long curved French-style handle for easy handling and a practical handle. The wok pan has a traditional round shape, but also a flat bottom, thanks to which you can use the wok pan on all types of cookers, including the popular induction. This traditional pan shape allows for fast cooking while preserving maximum vitamins and health benefits. Another great advantage is the non-stick surface, which means you only need very little oil.
This wok is made of high quality iron, which conducts heat excellently and makes food preparation fast and economical. The pan has a black-blue shade, which is due to the surface treatment called iron oxidation, which protects the pan against corrosion. The DeBuyer WOK pan has excellent heat conductivity, is robust and has very long life. It is not possible to wash the pan in the dishwasher and the pan requires special care to preserve its unique properties. Use the pan only on a burner/plate that matches the diameter of the bottom of the pan. For electrically powered cookers, we recommend setting the temperature dial to a higher setting and then lowering it to a level that will just maintain the selected temperature when the desired type of heating (temperature) is reached. The diameter of the bottom of the pan should be equal to the diameter of the hob.
For gas stoves, it is a good idea to use a matching burner diameter that can be slightly smaller than the diameter of the bottom of the pan by about 2 cm or use a flame diffuser.
The appropriate choice of pan diameter and hob diameter is also advantageous for energy reasons (energy saving). Due to the large number of stove types, this is only advice and not an exact guide.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
Wash the pan in warm water with a sponge. Do not leave the pan soaked. If your food sticks to the pan, use a sponge. Do not use detergents. Do not put in the dishwasher. To prevent oxidation, always rub it with a little cooking oil and dry it with an absorbent cloth.
