The ham knife gets its name from its sharpness and the shape of the blade, which is designed to cut very thin slices of hard ingredients, especially ham. These features make this knife ideal for cutting fruit, vegetables and meat, as well as for trimming roasts. The hollow cut on the blade prevents thin and soft slices from sticking to the blade.
