Frying tips:
Cold-pressed oils are not suitable for frying on a non-stick surface because they are unstable at higher temperatures and their components could bind to the non-stick surface and reduce its non-stick properties.
Butter or margarines should not be heated to more than 150 °C (margarine about 170 °C). It is suitable for frying eggs, pancakes, breaded foods or fish. Slowly heat the fat until small bubbles appear, reduce the heat, wait for the fat to bubble up. Then you can start frying.
For cooking lovers, we recommend clarified butter for frying. Water and protein free, it is suitable for fine frying and for roasting at high temperatures of 190 °C - 210 °C. It has a specific taste and different properties from ordinary table butter.
Commonly used vegetable oils, such as rapeseed, sunflower or mixed oils, can withstand frying at high temperatures of 190 °C - 220 °C. It is suitable for frying or deep-frying most foods, especially for roasting meat. When using them, make sure that they are not unnecessarily burnt. If the oil starts to smoke, it is heated to too high a temperature.
Hardened vegetable fats can also withstand high temperatures of 190 °C - 220 °C. Usually sold in blocks, they are easy to cut. They are ideal for frying until golden brown. It is suitable for frying floury foods (e.g. pancakes) and breaded foods (steaks).
